Samrat Dutta Foundation aims to support school students in scientific spirit within Barpeta Road Municipal Corporation, Assam. Awards will be given to Middle School students (6 to 8th grade) and Secondary School students (9 to 10th grade) for finding creative solutions to pollution, space exploration, and heritage conservation. Creative work should be in the form of a physical project, along with a poster outlining the project's scope. Digital efforts for heritage conservation will also be accepted. Originality in work will be given preference.
Samrat Dutta Foundation also aims to support conservation efforts at Garakhia Gosai Than, Sarbhogh, Assam, particularly in manuscript/artifact preservation.The conservation efforts must follow current scientific norms on manuscripts set up by the National Mission for Manuscripts (https://www.namami.gov.in/). The foundation will support training or conservation efforts with Krishna Kanta Handiqui Library, Gauhati University, which is a recognized conservation center in Assam. Alternatively, individuals who are trained or have the aptitude to conserve Garakhia heritage will also be given consideration. However, the foundation will have the final discretion of funding and will focus on the sustainability of Garakhia Than artifacts for future generations.
